One of the criticisms of Scot’s programs in the past, albeit a minor one, is that they haven’t necessarily been structured in a way that gives you a clear-cut order for assimilating the content. That’s not at all an issue in The Man’s Approach.

A particular facet of the audio programs that I applaud Scot for is his coverage of where to meet great woman, how to handle particularly challenging approach situations and how to turn women in your social circle into “more than a friend”. These are all highly important areas that go way beyond the actual “process” of meeting women.

But as Scot himself often says, “good enough just isn’t good enough”. So he has included what he calls “Extra Value Modules”, covering such provocative topics as how women themselves define masculinity, how to make women physically aroused sexually, and—my personal favorite of them all—“date replacing” escapades that make women want to touch you first.

You’ve just got to love that measure of creativity Scot adds there. There’s just a perfect balance between covering the necessary fundamentals and blowing the roof off the place with some truly groundbreaking concepts and practical ideas that NOBODY has ever talked about before.

And then, of course, there’s VIDEO. After all, what kind of self-respecting “meet women” program of any kind would leave that out?

Well, Scot over delivers in this area also. There are a whopping dozen videos in The Man’s Approach, offering a nice combination of live demos and interviews. Scot features several women in the videos, and let’s just say they’re all pretty darned easy on the eyes…not to mention total sweethearts. Then again, what else would you expect from a guy like Scot when casting such videos?

Now I do have to say you’re going to have to prepare yourself for a clearly different approach to doing videos than you’ll find in “pickup “ programs. Although that’s not surprising, considering The Man’s Approach is truly set apart from that sort of thing, don’t expect “in field pickup” footage or “kiss closes”. Thankfully, however, you don’t have to watch carefully scripted “actors” either.

The format Scot used was to bring his cast of real people to an outdoor location, give them particular scenarios to demonstrate…and then simply let them do their thing. Afterwards, Scot breaks down the good points of the interactions and offers input to make it even better, often with a second “take” following. In many ways it takes a knowledgeable yet empathetic dating coach to pull off a format like that…and that description fits Scot pretty accurately.

Viewers of the videos in The Master Plan have to go in with the right expectations. Don’t expect “Hollywood” polish or even the crystal-clear sound quality of Scot’s audio programs. Going “natural” necessarily brought with it the trade off of occasional ambient noise and players who aren’t exactly “media trained”.

Further, Scot decided to keep the camera rolling no matter what during the videos, so each one is ONE TAKE…no “jump cuts” to be found. Through the resulting imperfections, however, it’s easily to see that you’re (perhaps for the first time ever, finally) getting a genuine, real-world perspective on how to actually apply what Scot’s teaching. And if you ask me, that’s what it’s really all about. Ultimately, I give Scot’s way of doing video a big “thumbs up”.

Sounds kind of obvious, but you’d be amazed how many guys are trying to create the profile that wins them all. Or they go into this with the idea that they can avoid offending anyone.

Life is hard. Wear a cup.

As I like to say.

So, when writing your profile, write it with the person in mind you want to read it and go, “Hey, that’s cool…” Write with your audience in mind.

Now, let me clear something up right now:

No matter how much or how clearly you write what you WANT in your profile, you will have tons of women read it and THINK that’s them – or WANT to think that it’s them.

In other words, saying what you want doesn’t get you what you want online. It’s not like making a grocery list. You’ll get women who are 20-30 pounds overweight who haven’t seen a gym since sixth grade writing you, even though you asked for someone who you can “workout with.”

It never ceases to amaze me what I used to get all the time. It got so bad I almost wanted to start writing:

“ALL FAT BROADS NEED NOT APPLY.”

Kinda harsh, but come on, man. What part of “athletic build” did you not understand?

So, with that in mind, here’s the way you need to construct your profile:

Make it FUN.

Just go crazy with it. Have a blast. Don’t worry about getting all specific about your description so that you get the perfect woman. The fact is that the woman that will match you will probably not really match her own profile after you get to know her.

Sad truth.

So what you have to do is just inject your profile with a bunch of fun stuff that she’ll latch on to and go with.

You see, you want the kind of woman who responds to a fun and offbeat profile. (At least I hope so.) You want a woman with a sense of humor and adventure.

And that kind of woman WILL respond to a more laid back and less specific profile.

Face it – you’ll probably end up screening out most of them on the phone anyway, so why try to do too much unnecessary work in your online information? It doesn’t work, so you might as well cast a wider net.

Plus, when guys state what they want in their profiles, women actually LOOK to exclude themselves based on their INTERPRETATION of what you said.

And we know how well they do that.

And remember that you can’t TELL her you’re this or that (such as a “bad boy…”)

A real bad boy would never SAY it.

Instead you must SHOW it. With your words and your cocky attitude.

Try this:

“So if you’re the kind of girl that likes eating fruit off the tree, or off the stomach of a really close buddy, or you just like to lick your fingers and pretend, I won’t tell… Or maybe you’re the kind of girl who’s daring enough to jump in a cool lake on a hot day with her clothes on … So why are you still reading this? Send me an email! The worst thing that could happen is that you fall madly in love with my dimples and start stalking me. Wait, on second thought…”

See how that works? I just totally riffed that off the top of my head, and I’m sure it shows, but it’s unique and it doesn’t scream out NEEDY WUSS. It stands out.

Now all you have to do is come up with some of these on your own. It’s not hard. Just sit down and start typing some experimental stuff into your computer.

Remember, if it doesn’t work, you can always revise and change it. Nothing is permanent in cyberspace.

I’ve personally stopped focusing on just
getting phone numbers. I’ve found that EMAIL addresses are far better
(I still get the phone number too, of course).

Let me explain.

I perfected the art of getting phone numbers
a couple of years ago.

If a woman is single, I can walk up to her
and get her number in about a minute or two (if I’m in a hurry). I
found out later, after working like a mad scientist on this that
GETTING PHONE NUMBERS ALONE DOESNT’T EQUAL SUCCESS.

You see, women have many different reasons
for giving out their phone numbers. Some love the attention of having
a lot of men call them. Some like to turn guys down. Some are actually
interested. But the universal feedback that I get from men, and in my
personal experience, women act different on the phone than they do in
person.

When you call a woman for the first time,
she’ll often start acting stand offish or even worse, just plain rude.
It’s almost like she’s a different person than the one you met.

I’ve found that getting an EMAIL address is
not only easier, but it gets more positive responses later on. It’s
almost as if women appreciate it that you’ve taken the time to think
about what you’re going to say when you write an email to them, and
they think of you more like someone they know.

The other benefit of email is that it can be
written and answered anytime.

If you call, you have to actually reach them.
But an email can be answered anytime. And I’ve found that emails are
answered FAR more often than voicemail messages.

HERE’S THE HOW TO:

After I’ve talked to a woman for about 3 or 4
minutes, I’ll often say something like “Well, it was nice meeting
you. I’m going to get back to my friends.”

They usually don’t know what to do, as
they’re used to guys clinging to them. Most of the time, they say
“It was nice meeting you too…” Then, just as I’m
turning to walk away, and we kind of disconnect, I turn back and say
“HEY! Do you have email?”

The “HEY!” is a bit surprising, and
“Do you have email” is non-threatening. In fact, I’m
technically asking her if she HAS email, not if she’ll GIVE IT TO ME.

If she says “yes,” I take out a pen
and paper and say “Great, write it down for me” and I have
her write it down. (This is great, as I just treat the ‘yes’ that they
give me as a yes to get it from them as well. And they’ve almost ALL
gone along with it so far) Then AS SHE’S IN THE MIDDLE OF WRITING, I
say “Write your number down there too.”

When you ask for email, it’s very low risk
for a woman, so she’ll think “Fine, I’ll do that.” Most
women will give out an email address without thinking about it,
because they know that they can choose later to just not answer.

The magic of asking them to write their phone
number down WHILE they’re in the middle of writing down their email is
all about the psychology of human behavior.

She’s already mentally said “OK, I’ll
give you my email address”… and she’s in the middle of writing
it down. When you say “And just write your number down there
too” it’s only NATURAL to just write it.

In other words, it’s a MUCH smaller step than
giving out the phone number all by itself. It took me a LONG time to
figure out this simple move, but it works like magic! You will have
women writing their phone numbers down without even thinking twice.

Here’s a great add-on to make sure you’re
getting a real phone number and not a pager or voicemail:

As she’s writing down her phone number I say
“Is this a number that you actually answer?” If she looks at
me and hesitates, or says that it’s her “voicemail or pager
number,” then I say “Look, write your real number down. It’s
going to be OK, I’ll only call you nine times a day…” They
laugh and usually give me their real number.

Now, if she answers my first question and
says “No, I don’t have email” then I bust on them and say
“Well, do you have electricity?” This is a GREAT opportunity
to use humor.

Then I say “Well, OK then. I like email
better, but I’ll take your regular phone number. It’s so damn hard to
reach people on the phone these days.”

Just realize that all you have to do is ask.

Like I said, I’ve tried all kinds of things.
And I’ve gotten hundreds of phone numbers. And I use this exact
sequence every time I talk to a woman and I want to get her phone
number. I’ve gotten to the point where I can often do this in a minute
or two – no kidding!

Now that you know the sequence, write it down
with the words and the steps, and rehearse it in your mind over and
over until you know exactly what to say for each step and each
response.

Many guys have asked me “But what do I
tell her as a reason why I want her number or email?” I’ve never
had a woman ask me. If you ask, and they give it, then she knows why
you asked. If she doesn’t give it to you, then she also knew why you
asked.

Just assume that this is the case.

If you ask every time, and you do it in a
smooth, assuming, calm way, you’ll get a lot of emails and phone
numbers.

Note: Carry a pen on you at all times. I
prefer the Fisher Space Pen (chrome) because it’s small, classy, and
women love it!

Let’s break it down into the three different ways you can make yourself noticeable:

- Your actions

- Your appearance

- Your words

ACTIONS:

There’s a saying that “What you are speaks so loudly that I can’t hear you.”

This means that your actions are what will ultimately make you the most noticeable … or the least noticeable. The guys that are passive and hang back in a crowd (usually the introverts) are those who are least appealing to women. The men who are active in their environment stand out. They’re leaders.

So, how can you stand out?

Take it slow.

Move slowly but deliberately. Carry yourself like a suave man would. Watch all the old James Bond movies. You never see James move in a jerky, hyper fashion. He knows exactly the right pace to fight, drink, walk, and make love. He moves like a wily predator, and he always gets his prey.

The best action you can take, though, is to forget your irrational fear of rejection and simply approach women. Just walking up and saying “Hi” is more than most men ever do. Women will respond to a man who goes after what he wants. Take the initiative!

APPEARANCE:

Women are very visual by nature, contrary to some beliefs. (Just because they don’t respond to porn as a turn-on doesn’t mean they aren’t visually stimulated. It’s just that they need to see more emotionally-charged images.)

So how do you use this to your advantage to get women to notice you?

First of all, you don’t have to look like a Calvin Klein model to attract women. Just take the time to groom your appearance. Here are a few tips:

- Get a good haircut. Women can see when you take pride in your appearance, and a good haircut (nothing less than $25-30) will show it. Also, get rid of any unnecessary hair – nose, ears, back.

- Buy clothes that fit well and suit you in color. If you don’t know what looks good, ask any cute salesclerk in any department store to help you out. (And don’t forget to get her number.) Also, get nice shoes and a belt to round it out. Good style isn’t very difficult.

- Take care of your skin. Smooth skin and appealing lips will make a woman want to touch you. Why not make it easy for her?

WORDS:

Women are tuned into speech, and they respond to a man who can effectively use words to draw them in.

What do you say? Well, first of all, speak slowly, the same way you move. It shows a man of careful thought, who won’t be careless with his woman. Be sure to use words that stand out. Use exciting words, like:

- tingling

- pleasure

- sensual

- radiant

- passion

These words will elicit charged states with women, as they do in those sappy romance novels. They will work for you, too. A firm grasp of language and communication will always appeal to a woman, and your seduction abilities will increase proportionately.

Women WANT to notice men, but they put up screens to filter out the guys who don’t stand out from the rest. Very often, a woman doesn’t even realize she’s put up these filters, since she subconsciously starts to ignore all the average guys. Just improve your action orientation, your appearance, and your verbal ability just a little – enough to stand out – and women WILL take notice of you when you enter a room.

But I’m writing this “The Art of Approaching” review because when it comes to the most difficult subject in male dating, I don’t believe that anyone has a better game than the author Joseph Matthews.

The Art of Approaching Review: a Veteran Product

The Art of Approaching by Joseph Matthews was written almost a decade ago and since then has been revised and upgraded according to the authors experience in coaching men on how to approach women. To be honest, the first version of the book was super. It included the most comprehensive breakdown of how to approach women, where to approach women, what to say, how to close the interaction, how to prepare your mind, how to deal with rejection and much more.  

Since then, the guidance and advice and it has only involved and become more polished and effective. The sections on body language, situational approaches, opinion and openers and storytelling are some of the most practical and useful you’ll ever find in a book like this. Now, there are a lot of people in the men’s dating community who claim that this book is mainly for beginners who are clueless when it comes to approaching women.

That might be true to a point, but I’d guess that pretty much any man who hasn’t yet perfected the art of approaching women ought to be reading and using the ideas in this book. It’s one of those resources that you could use for your entire life and continue to grow and to develop your skills of interacting with women.

Hot Points of The Art of Approaching

The Author Joseph Matthews (aka: Thundercat) is a true “zero to hero” story himself, and if you were to see him, you’d realize that he’s living proof that it doesn’t take looks to learn to attract women (sorry Joseph). That said, I’d say that this is the perfect resource for a man who believes that he has no chance of becoming successful with women. This guy’s story and his bias will definitely provide you with proof and with the practical advice that made Joseph one of the most well respected men in the PUA community.

In the beginning of the book, Joseph starts out with his own personal “rock bottom moment” and shares his trial and error experience in discovering and mastering the secrets of approaching, creating attraction with and seducing women. He also shares the personal revelations and philosophies which gave him the courage and confidence to go from being a guy who stayed at home on friday night while masturbating to Susan Summers on “Three’s Company,” to one of the masters of pick up.

To conclude this The Art of Approaching review, I’d say that getting a hold of this book is a no-brainer. It’s definitely worth the money, especially considering that it took the author years of painstaking trial and error to discover what you can get your hands on for about the price of a monthly gym membership.

It’s really crazy, you just start noticing all these little details that you never noticed before…things which have been screaming that you’re desperate or that you’re a man of low social value….and of course, this kills attraction with women…

That’s the bad news…

The Really, Really Good News

The good news about reading Double Your Dating is that after you get done kicking yourself for all the things you’ve been doing wrong, it’s VERY easy to correct course and start getting results…I mean really easy. Here are just a few examples of some of the immediate changes you make:

Handling yourself differently on the first three dates.

A complete game plan for controlling every interaction with confidence.

This is just a glimpse of practical strategies that you’ll learn from reading this book the first time.
